The HISTORY of ARTINA SKS

 The History

 
Ars – the art and „Tin“ pewter gave their name to the Austrian enterprise.
Today Artina is the most important supplier of bric-a-bracs and basic commodities made of pewter.
Location: Salzkammergut/Laakirchen submontane to the Traunstein.
 
1974:       The couple Maryse and Rudolf Ritter founded the ARTINA Kunstguss GesmbH together with the German Heinz Hüttebräuker KG.
1975:       a 1600m² large manufacturing plant is built in Kirchham
1975:       In Kirchham (Upper Austria) a 1,600 square meter production facility is built.
1978: The German Company Scheffer-Klute from Sundern (SKS) buys the shares of the Hüttebräuker KG.
1979: Expansion of the production facility to 2,500 sq. m.  Artina products are awarded with the Austrian Cachet.
1983: A new warehouse is built with a space of 1,000 sq.m.
1995: SKS takes the remaining shares of ARTINA and is now the 100% owner.
1999: Relocation of the die-cast production from sister Company Schött/Menden (D) to Austria. The production area is extended by a further 1,550 sq.m.
2009: Mr. Klaus Oberhumer buys the shares of ARTINA GmbH. Management, marketing, design and sales move to Laakirchen (Upper Austria).
2010: The trademarks Blomus, Broste, Contento, Culto and Philippi form a strong pillar for sales in Austria.
2014: The new Catalog 2014/15 shows an impressive and unique look of modern and traditional pewter-craftsmanship.
